Moms and dads have the greatest influence in the lives of their children. But grandparents have a significant role to play in passing on faith to their grandchildren.
This unique role for grandparents was established by God and written down in the Bible. Deuteronomy 4:9 clearly instructs grandparents to teach your children and your grandchildren about the works of the Lord. And just think about the genealogy of Jesus recorded in Luke, a legacy of faith stretching for generations.
Grandparents, our testimony and our example are the building blocks for a vibrant faith in the generations that follow. As songwriter Steve Green wrote, “…may all who come behind us find us faithful.”
