When it comes to discipline, what’s a grandparent to do? Let’s face it. It’s difficult to know when to speak up and when to back off grandparents. It’s not our role to punish our grandkids. But that doesn’t mean we ignore the rebellion.
We can and should establish boundaries that are enforced out of our love for our grandkids. That’s different than punishment. When you became a Christian, Jesus took all your punishment. Even so, he continues to discipline the children he loves in order to help us grow and mature. The Bible tells us that God disciplines those he loves. Remember, the goal of Godly discipline is Godly behavior.
