Busy families at long distances can cause many grandparents to miss out on precious time with their grandchildren. Perhaps you’ve experienced holidays and birthdays that came and went without much acknowledgement from you. Well, when we don’t get time with our grandkids, it’s easy to let those relationships slip away.
But I want to encourage you to stay connected. God has given you a biblical mandate to pass on your Christian faith to the next generation. So call, text, send letters and birthday cards. Do whatever it takes to stay connected, even if your attempts are not acknowledged or reciprocated, I encourage you to continue to remember birthdays and holidays. You never know how your kind gestures may impact your grandchildren.
Find resources and ideas to help deepen your relationship with your grandchildren — because grandparenting matters.
