Were you looking forward to having Cousins Camp, Nana Camp, or GrandCamp this summer? Are you disappointed that you now cannot do it? Well, Sherry Schumann and her team of creative people have come up with a superb way to still have camp with your grandchildren. It is called Virtual Camp – A GrandCamp Adventure.
While you may not be able to get together in person to experience these amazing inter-generational adventures, you can still provide a powerful, transformational opportunity for your grandchildren. You can lead your grandkids into discovering from God’s Word what it means to walk in truth.
Let’s briefly look into this specially designed week of purposeful fun activities and Bible-centered devotions. Keep in mind the curriculum is flexible and adaptable – make it work for you!

For each of the five days, you’ll get a welcome video, the teaching objective, object lesson, and a going deeper section. Scripture is read and a song is sung. There are also brief teaching videos available for you to watch to help equip you to teach that day’s object lesson.
This year’s theme is “Learning to Pray” where the ACTS model is shared and taught. Day one is an overview with each of the subsequent days focusing on one of the ways to pray. Videos are also supplied for the suggested crafts to help you.
Great additional resources are given like recipes, testimonials, and words of encouragement. A special treat is included on Day Four – The Blessing. We are reminded that “one of our God-given privileges (and responsibilities) is to bless our children and grandchildren. This blessing serves as a reminder that it isn’t about “who they are”, but “Whose they are.” A Blessing packet is even provided for you.
Day Five tops off the week with a recorded concert by Irene Rose. Irene is the one who leads the song each morning. Be sure to visit the additional resources for discussion questions to go with the videos, music videos to go with the lessons, and more fun activity suggestions.
Everything is provided that you will need while also leaving room for your personality, creativity, and circumstances to make it your own. No one knows your grandchildren like you, so personalize it for your family. Above all, may God be glorified and may your grandkids grow in their relationship with God and you.
