You know, many of our grandchildren desire to be famous. They crave attention and want the spotlight on their achievements. But, you know, it’s our job as intentional Christian grandparents to persuade them that Facebook likes and Instagram followers are not an accurate measure of their worth. Let’s start by modeling a Christ centered life rather than a life of self absorption.
Spotlighting the fame of God’s goodness and the work of Jesus in our lives may help our grandchildren avoid the temptation to become the star of their own reality show. Anyone who seeks to be the star in his own life will fall and be extinguished. The only enduring works of our lives are those actions that put the spotlight on Jesus.
