How are we to respond when our grandchildren disappoint us?A suggestion is to Stop, Look and Listen before charging ahead.
Stop:
Don’t let our tongues become weapons. The Bible is filled with warnings about the harm our tongues can do, even if our anger is justified
(James 3:9-10).Look:
Examine our hearts. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden agendas we may have.Listen:
Attend to the tone of our voices. Is it harsh and critical? It’s imperative we speak the Truth in love.God Is the Measuring Stick for all behavior. Everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), because none can compare to Him. Everyone needs forgiveness and grace, including our grandchildren.
