Not long ago, a friend’s elderly neighbor passed away. For weeks, his children and grandchildren rummaged around the house, going through what was left behind. And honestly, most of it ended up on the curb.
That curbside pile was a stark reminder that our family’s real inheritance is so much more than the stuff we’re storing in the garage. Or even our investments in. The lasting inheritance that we pass on to our children and their children won’t be found in our house. It’ll be stored up in their hearts. The things of real value, Godly character, our testimony, and the love we shared throughout a lifetime are the true treasure we leave behind.
