Here’s a touchy question. When is it okay to spoil our grandchildren? Most of us want our grandkids to have a better childhood than we did, but that’s not always a healthy motivation.
First and foremost, make sure that you don’t interfere in the lessons that parents are trying to instill. For instance, if mom and dad want your grandchild to earn a special item, don’t sabotage their training. It’s tempting to open your wallet and make those dreams come true. But how much better instead, to pay your grandchild for chores, they complete by using these guidelines. You’ll be cultivating healthy relationships and teaching your grandchildren the value of hard work. Your gift should bring joy to your grandchild and a smile to their parents.
