Mentoring Your Adult Children

You’ve heard it said that a man doesn’t become a man until his father tells him he is. But graduating from raising young kids to becoming the parent of adult children is easier said than done. It’s our natural tendency to fall back on old routines.

Mom, dad, if you’re trying to engage with your adult remember that you’re no longer the coach giving play by play instructions. You’ve become a mentor offering guidance and only when it’s requested. If you’re feeling pushback from your adult kids, relax a little don’t coach them quietly, mentor them. And before you know it, they’ll be asking you for advice.

If you’re ready to be a more intentional Christian grandparent, sign up for the 2022 Legacy Grandparenting Summit, October 20th and 21st.
