This time of year, I look forward to annual events and familiar holiday traditions. But as the years have passed, our family has grown and changed, and our holidays have changed, too. Family traditions are a wonderful way to to reminisce, but they can also become a flashpoint for disagreements. Is Christmas morning always at your house? Do you expect everyone to be available on the same day and in the same way?
As families grow, things change. So instead of clinging to rigid rituals, let’s embrace new ideas. Ask your children how you can contribute to their visions for the holidays and offer your support to make the holidays a success.
Find out how you can leave a legacy for your grandkids — because grandparenting matters.
