If you’ve been made aware that you weren’t a perfect parent, you’re in good company. There are no perfect parents and there are no perfect grandparents, but it’s never too late to start doing what’s right.
To create a stronger connection with your family, it might require apologizing for your failures, admit to your children that you weren’t perfect. And even at times you blew it. Then ask for their forgiveness. Your humility will help bridge the gap between generations. Plus once the slate is clean, you’ll have ample opportunities to establish trust. Hey, perfection is highly overrated humility on the other hand, builds trust.
If you’re ready to be a more intentional Christian grandparent, sign up for the Legacy Grandparenting Summit 2022, October 20th and 21st.
