How can we spark an effective conversation with our grandkids? Well, if your strategy is to simply preach at them, they’ll likely tune you out. But try this angle, it’s a strategy that Jesus used. Most of the time when people came to Jesus with questions, he didn’t respond directly. Instead he asked another question. Educators call this the Socratic method, asking questions, causes young people to think for themselves. And it stretches their mental muscles.
When facing a tough decision, do you want your grandchild to make the right choice? Teach them how to think by asking questions, just like Jesus did.
