Question:
I’m looking for Christian apps for toddlers/ preschoolers. We’ve found Parent Cue, Minno, and Yippie.
Do you know of others that have games, interactive teaching, or just wholesome (free preferably) apps for preschoolers?
Response:
The apps you have mentioned are fine, but I generally don’t recommend apps for young children. It is more advantageous to their development if they can engage with parents and grandparents via personal interaction.
I encourage you and their parents to read stories to them, play simple interactive games with them, and teach them various skills as you are having conversations with them.
You can find many activities and stories in Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse Jr. magazine (for children 4-7 years old) and stories about character development in Otter B books by Pamela Kennedy and Anne Kennedy Brady (for children 3-5 years old.) Both of these resources and more are available at the Focus on the Family Store.
