I’m an elementary librarian in a K-6 more conservative public school in the middle of Ohio.
The last two years we started seeing
trans in with grades 5 & 6, this year it’s a second grader. We now have parents speaking out on both sides of the fence.
Would you have any suggestions for me? Up until now I’ve had the privilege of ordering books I choose.
As far as I know we don’t have trans books in this library. If a student requests one how can I reply in a loving, non judge mental way?
